Sayidda Jahanara, CT, OCGS
I am a currently
studying Finance and Banking as and undergraduate student at the University
of Missouri-Columbia. I recenty completed my first year of graduate school
and am completing my internship requirement by working at the Save
Our Scenary 2000 Campaign. I am currently researching
Muslim society and history in the Middle Ages.
On the weekends
I become Sayidda Jahanara,
a 6th Century Persian woman, in the Society
for Creative Anachronism. If you are wondering what this
is there is a great article on "Life
in the Current Middle Ages" by Mistress Siobhan Medhbh O'Roarke.
I am also the president
of the Medieval Re-enactment
Society here at MU.
Check out the pictures
of the Roman-fort project
for Lilies.
As part of learning
more about such societies I attended Gulf Wars VII. It was a great
learning experience for me as a leader and for me as a person. I
took many classes while I was there and attended many activities.
It was a great time and I would not have given it up for the world.
I have also attended Pennsic War.
Some picture of my trip to Gulf Wars in Gulf Port Mississippi.Note these pictures are linked to much larger versions to allow for better detail viewing.
Before you leave make sure you sign
my guestbook, please.
